TEAM
Annette Brauer,
Board-certified specialist in general medicine and anesthesiology, mother of four children
From 1992 to 2000, I studied medicine at Freie Universität and Charité Berlin. During my studies, I completed training rotations in Malta and Switzerland. This was followed by three years of specialty training in anesthesiology, critical care medicine, and emergency medicine at Charité Berlin, and another six years in Manchester, England. I returned to Germany in 2012 and passed my board certification exam in anesthesiology and critical care medicine the following year. I worked for a total of 15 years in anesthesiology, critical care medicine, and emergency medicine.
In 2015, I shifted my focus from hospital work to outpatient care and worked in various internal medicine and family practice clinics. In 2017, I earned my certification as a specialist in general medicine.
Since 2019, I have been practicing in my own practice in Mahlow-Blankenfelde.
Additional qualifications in primary care:
Manual therapy/chiropractic therapy
Psychosomatic primary care
Skin cancer screening
Palliative medicine
I also work for a private on-call service in Berlin, arztbesuche.de.
What exactly is a physician in training?
A physician in training is a licensed physician who, after completing a 6-year medical degree, gains several more years of professional experience. After 5–7 years of profession-specific training, one can then register for the board certification exam.
To earn the title of “Board-Certified Specialist in General Medicine,” candidates must complete an additional five years of training and demonstrate a range of skills in their chosen specialty. Upon passing the board certification exam, one is qualified to work independently and take full responsibility for one’s practice, such as by opening one’s own clinic. The board certification title is thus comparable to a master craftsman’s certificate.
The Annette Brauer Practice is committed to the specialist training of colleagues in general medicine. In the coming years, residents of Brandenburg must prepare for a severe shortage of new doctors in family medicine and other fields. We hope to counteract this through personal dedication and thereby ensure our succession and the care of our patients well into the future.
We provide training. Thank you very much for your trust and support!
